A very nice car

I have had my car about a week and a half. I really like it, although I am used to a V-6 and there is a little less power. There is enough power to get on the road and the fuel economy is really awesome. I love the features from blind spot monitoring to Android Auto. The ride quality is excellent and the car has a somewhat sporty feel. For the money the Limited Trim is a good value.…
Hyundai takes it up a notch again

This is my second Hyundai and the span of 5 years. The previous Sonata I owned was a great car, great value, and I was happy with its reliability, fuel economy, etc. Now that I have the 2018, all I keep asking myself is when did Hyundai get even better? l feel like I have switched car brands and this is a whole new adventure all over again. The beauty of the design stands out from other cars on the road It looks agressive and stylish. Excellent quality materials inside and out. I purchased this car with all the options (except for the Turbo engine). I have to say the technology in this car is hands down some of the best Ive seen or used in any brand. I have friends with high end cars just as new and the features of my Hyundai are envied by my friends with Acura and Audi vehicles. Sure, those vehicles accelerate a couple seconds faster than the Hyundai, but in the real world there are other cars all around and I have no trouble keeping up with other cars on the highway, back roads, city streets. Stop and go is always smooth and quiet. Ride in nice as well. Overall, this is a great car, excellent value, and just plain fun. I can use my Amazon Alexa to start, unlock, or lock my car. I can ask her to do anything Bluelink allows, which is great The app for mobile devices has lots of cool features and settings so you can get as many (or as few) notifications about the car and its performance. You can also start the car, set the temperature, lock and unlock doors, and more with the app. The tech in this car is great and easy to use. Bluelink is responsive and performs better than most other vehicles with infotainment systems and navigation. Did I mention the value? I cant get over the fact that my car has ALL (and more) features and options than another friends luxury brand car. He cant get over my in car wireless charging... something he cant get in his car yet. Knowing I spent almost 20,000 less and have a car with great features, excellent style, and better than boring performance. I think most reviewers test both the Turbo and the 4 cylinder. I chose not to go near the turbo, because I didnt want to spoil my impression of the 4 cylinder. I must say its not as bad as a lot of reviews make it sound. The car accelerates just fine when getting onto highways, passing, and your average rush hour stop and go and stop and dont go traffic. I dont mind spending time in my car and actually enjoy the upscale feeling the car has. Anyone who doesnt know car brands or styles is shocked to know my car is a Hyundai. Some days, Im just as shocked. But very happy with this car.…
Great price, but slightly disappointed

This is my second Sonata, and while I'm mostly satisfied with my 2019 Sport model, there are a few things that are disappointing in the new model compared to my 2003 Sonata.
First, the new model is rather noisy when it's running and makes an annoying ticking sound that makes it sounds like an old junker in need of a new fan belt. It's a little embarrassing when I start it up in front of people, and I have to crank up the radio to try to drown out the sound when driving. I took it to the dealer, and the mechanics said it was just the normal engine sound and there was nothing they could do for it. :(
Another thing that could be improved upon is the transmission. It's clunky when shifting gears. You can feel the tug when both accelerating and decelerating.
The sound system is also disappointing. I didn't have any complaints about the sound quality in my old Sonata, and you would think the new models would sound even better, but the speakers sound cheap and tinny, no matter how you adjust the settings. There's virtually no bass.
It's a nice-looking car - I've gotten several compliments from strangers on it - and a great value, and I'm hoping it is as reliable as my old Sonata. I've only put about 250 miles on the new one so far, so we'll have to see, but the warranty is outstanding. Overall, I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Without the issues mentioned, it would be a solid 4-4.5.…
